The set of possible hypotheses a model can represent can be narrowed down based on the algorithms selected and their settings.

In the hypothesis, lowercase h (h) is used for a specific hypothesis, while uppercase h (H) is used for the hypothesis space that is being searched. Let us quickly decipher these symbols:

A hypothesis is a model that aids in mapping input to output; the mapping can then be used for evaluation and prediction.

Hypothesis set: A hypothesis set is a searchable space of hypotheses that can be used to map inputs to outputs. The choice of problem framing, model, and model configuration are all examples of general constraints.

The metrics used to determine how to divide a Decision Tree are Gini Impurity and Entropy. Gini is the likelihood that a random sample will be correctly classified if a label is chosen at random from the branch's distribution. A way to gauge how much information is missing is to use entropy. A division determines the Information Gain. This measure reduces the output label's degree of uncertainty.

How disorganised your data is indicated by its entropy. The Information Gain is determined by the decrease in entropy that occurs when a dataset is divided along an attribute. As you get closer to the leaf node, it keeps rising.

Using previous information, Bayes' theorem calculates the likelihood that a certain event will occur. It may be expressed mathematically as the true positive rate of the sample condition being considered, divided by the product of the true positive rate of the condition being considered and the false positive rate of the overall population. Bayesian optimisation and Bayesian belief networks are two of the most important uses of Bayes' theorem in Machine Learning. Moreover, this theorem is based on the Naive Bayes classifier used in Machine Learning.
