Australia Education System
Australia has more than 1,100 institutions and 22,000 courses to choose. You can study in vocational education and training (VET), Universities and also can go for English language courses and other curricular Programs. Australia’s laws promote quality education and protection for international students. This includes the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2007 (National Code). These provide nationally consistent standards for providers of education and training for international students.
Tertiary education includes higher education (universities) and vocational education and training (VET and TAFE colleges).
Australian Qualifications Framework
The Australian education system is distinguished from many other countries by the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). The AQF is a national policy that shows how qualifications relate to each other at each level of education.

Apart from all the eligible requirements, there are certain criteria to be met for study on full time basis using the Australian’s student visa. With this Australia student visa:
– You can stay in Australia for the duration of your course.
– You can enter multiple times into Australia
– You have taken a course of unlimited hours in a session; you can work up to 40 hours per fortnight.
– Eligible dependent family members can accompany you (conditions apply)
– Your family members can work up to 40 hours per fortnight
– Your spouse can study in Australia for up to 3 months
– Your Australia Student visa application will be assessed Based on Assessment level and the required evidence, can be judged by your nationality and main course of study.
Cost of Studies in Australia
The cost of studying in Australia depends on the course and Institution/ University! As an international student, your tuition fees are payable before you study. There may be additional costs for your course, including course materials and access to institution facilities. The list below gives you an indication of the range of course costs for different types of qualifications.
-> English language studies – Around $300 per week depending on course length (Approx)
-> Vocational Education and Training – $4,000 to $22,000* (Approx)
-> Undergraduate Bachelor Degree – $25,000 to $36,000* (Approx)
-> Postgraduate Master’s Degree – $25,000 to $37,000* (Approx)
-> Doctoral Degree – $14,000 to $37,000* (Approx)

For granting Australian student visa, the evidence of sufficient funds to cover tuition, travel and living costs. From July 2016, the amount you need to prove you have for living costs (separate from tuition and travel) is set at AU$19,830 (~US$15,170) for a year. If you have any dependent (such as a spouse or children), you will also have to show the evidence of being able to cover living costs for them, including your own school fees. Alternatively, in granting a Australia Student visa, you can show evidence that your spouse or parents are willing to support you and that they earn at least AU$60,000 (~US$45,850) a year.
