25th Oct, 2015, 4:30am in the morning 32 students and 10 staff members of TOPS Technologies headed towards the heritage city of Gujarat, Kutch. It is the place famous for its traditions, culture, art & craft and exquisite apparel. This eminently colorful and culturally rich land has a wonderful handcrafted feel. Kutch has various famous places. One of them is Mandvi. It takes almost 600km journey in all to and from Rajkot-Mandvi.
By playing antakshari and having breakfast on the way, they reached the Mandvi around 11am. The very first attraction of Mandvi is Vijay Vilas Palace. It was built of red sand stone in Rajput style by Rao Vijayrajji in 1929. The place was well maintained. The balcony at the top of the palace offers the superb view of the surrounding area. All enjoyed the photography there.
After having lunch they all visited Pingleshwar beach. It is known as the Golden sandy beach of the Kutch. It lies close to Mandvi. .The beach is also very popular as a wetland and also beautiful wind farms wherein wind energy is trapped. It also attracts a plethora of migratory birds that come here.
Students and staff enjoyed Camel Riding a lot. They also played volleyball at the beach. They did various activities like Random Cheat Activity, solo dance and group dance till 5:00 pm. Then the left Mandvi and started their journey towards Rajkot. They took their dinner on the way and reached Rajkot center by 11:00pm. However it was a long journey, it was truly refreshing for all.
