Quick Test Professional (QTP) is an testing tool which allows automation of user actions on web/client/desktop based computer applications. It is primarily used for smoke testing and regression test automation. QTP uses a scripting language built on top of VB Script to specify the test procedure, and to manipulate the objects and controls of the application under test.
